Navarang 2024

The Navrang organized by MADX team was organized unofficially only among students. It fostered a sense of community and cultural appreciation among the students. The event saw a diverse turnout from students across different states reflecting the cultural inclusivity of the campus.

Roots of Change

XSeed organized a plantation drive, "Roots of Change," at St Joseph Boys Home, Koonamavu - Panayikulam, Kochi, aiming to spread happiness, joy, and plant seeds of inspiration.  The event commenced with the boys and volunteers working together to plant 12 saplings, fostering a sense of community and environmental responsibility. The boys enthusiastically participated in the planting process, discovering the value of preserving the environment and understanding the importance of their role in creating a better future. In addition to the plantation drive, the volunteers also interacted with the kids, conducting interactive sessions on basic cleanliness, the harmful effects of drugs, and the importance of education.

The "Roots of Change" plantation drive not only resulted in the beautification of the St Joseph Boys Home but also instilled a sense of responsibility and environmental awareness among the participants. The event successfully spread positivity and optimism, creating a lasting impact on the boys and the community.

THE WIT WAR

The Third event organized by MarkXIME was held on 16 October at 1:30 PM at XIME Kochi. The event took place in two rounds, testing participants' creativity, brand and product knowledge .

Wayanad Flood Relief Drive by Xseed

The Wayanad region experienced severe flooding, leading to widespread displacement and loss of property. In response to this crisis, XSEED organized a donation drive to collect funds and essential supplies for the flood victims. The drive aimed to address the immediate needs of affected families and support their recovery process. The donation drive successfully raised a total of Rs. 35,550/-. With these funds, XSEED procured a variety of essential items, which were then distributed through the reputable Goonj Organisation.

The collected supplies included:

1. 840sanitary pads (120 packs of 7 each)

2. 208baby diapers (104 packs of 2 each)

3. 95units of Cerelac baby food

4. 10blankets

5. 48newundergarments

6. Asignificant quantity of clothes

Kalpataru: A Joyous Mural Painting Event by XSEED Kochi

XSEED Kochi recently organized a 2-day mural painting event, "Kalpataru," aimed at spreading joy and inspiration among young minds. The event focused on the theme of SELF LOVE, with affirmations painted on the walls to encourage positive self-regard among students. 

The event saw enthusiastic participation from 80 XIME Kochi students and 30-40 students from HMT School, which caters to students from Kinder Garden to High School. The school students were actively involved in the mural creation, leaving their colorful handprints on the wall, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the artwork.
 

Campus Chaos


Campus Chaos is an activity-based event conducted at Xavier Institute of Management, Kochi on 28th August 2024. The event was organized by HRuday, HR Club, under the guidance of Dr. Anjali John (Faculty coordinator). The event keenly focused on building up a good rapport and encouraging inculcation of Human Resource knowledge as per their theoretical concepts of organizational behavior to provide practical exposure among the 1st years of the PGDM batch 12 students. The event was organized by the members of the Junior HRuday team as their first event  organized by them. Campus chaos was a split of two engaging rounds. It Involved a total of 75 students, half of the batch, to get more productivity and better coordination. Students were divided into 8 teams and instructed, to follow the game rules, by the HRuday team coordinators. The "Campus Chaos" event featured two engaging rounds. The first, HR Jargon Charades, was a creative variation of Dumb Charades where participants acted out HR-related terms for their teammates to guess, enhancing their grasp of key HR concepts. The second round, Rolling Legs, required teams to navigate a cardboard chain through obstacles to reach the final destination, testing their problem-solving and coordination skills.

OUT-OF-THE-BOX 3.0


MarkXime’s first event for the academic year 2024-25 was titled Out-Of-The-Box 3.0. Students were given random junk materials with which they were asked to create a product that should be marketable and presented by the groups themselves but it had a twist which is that they had to create a fashionable product i.e sustainable fashion such as hats, dress, shoes, bracelets etc.

BEACH CLEANING DRIVE

The XSEED Club at Fort Kochi Beach organized a commendable "Beach Cleaning Drive" on December 15, 2023, showcasing the spirit of environmental responsibility and community engagement. This impactful initiative witnessed the active participation of 71 dedicated volunteers from both Batch 11 and Batch 10, uniting in their commitment to preserving the pristine beauty of the coastline. The cleaning drive proved to be a resounding success, with the volunteers working tirelessly to rid the beach of various pollutants. A staggering total of around 200 bags were filled with plastic, thermocol, and other types of waste, underscoring the severity of the pollution problem and the pressing need for community-driven solutions. The participants not only collected visible debris but also engaged in educational discussions about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the importance of sustainable practices. This knowledge-sharing component added an educational dimension to the event, fostering a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges faced by coastal areas.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

XSEED, the Social club of XIME Kochi organised Blood Donation Camp on 28.11.2023 in association with District hospital Blood bank, Aluva. They arranged 5 beds in the MDP Hall and around 51 donors donated their blood. These donors include students from Batch 10, 11 and teaching and non-teaching faculties. About 15 female donors and 36 male donors participated. Overall, the event was successful with the support of all the members of XIME family.This camp stands as a testament to our collective spirit to contribute to generate a lifeline for someone in need.

DANDIYA NIGHT

"Garba nights: Where traditions meet trends." It's a night filled with rhythm, colours, and culture, Team MADX brought the beats and the bling to the most memorable Dandiya Night of the year! It was organised on 23rd of October, 2023 at Central Lawn from 6:30pm onwards in XIME, Kochi campus. Garba and dandiya were played with great josh and passion.The heart of the event was the Dandiya dance, where participants used colourful sticks and danced to the rhythmic beats of traditional music. The evenings had its own highlights followed by chaat and ice cream stalls by XOps and Finitiative club respectively. It lasted for approximately 3 hours. The event was meticulously organised by the MADx Committee. It took place in the college's central courtyard. The décor featured vibrant colours, traditional patterns, and eye-catching lighting, creating a welcoming ambiance for all attendees.

CHITRASHALABANGAL- event conducted @ Sandhwanam

On 22.10.2023, XSEED club successfully conducted the event titled CHITRASHAALABANGAL-in collaboration with the HRuday club.35 members from both the clubs visited the orphanage Sandhwanam, home to 25 girls, located in Kalamassery. They began the programme with a performance for the girls followed by events for the inmates. The children at the orphanage participated enthusiastically in all the events following which they gave a dance performance for the XIME team, which was totally unexpected.. XIME students felt the experience was enriching and were elated with the response by these kids

QUEST 2024

XIME Kochi hosted a National-level intra-collegiate Management Fest called "QUEST 2024" on the 1st and 2nd of March 2024. The program included 15 main events, with a total winning amount of Rs. 2,15,000/-. Over 500 participants attended from 53 colleges across Kerala and India, with 467 registered in advance and 47 registered on the spot. Additionally, 28 external sponsors contributed Rs. 4 lakhs to support the event. Overall, the event was a success in terms of participation, sponsorship, planning, execution, and learning.

EYE CAMP BY XSEED CLUB @ XIME KOCHI

“Life without eyes is not easy, take care of them” was the theme of the Eye Camp organized by XSEED in collaboration with The Eye Foundation, Edappally on 10th August at XIME Kochi. The objective of the camp were two fold: 1. To provide free eye care services to the underserved population and raise awareness about eye health. 2. To raise awareness about common eye diseases, preventive measures, and overall eye health hygiene. Attendees were informed about the significance of regular eye check-ups and the importance of protecting their eyes. About 120 benefited from the camp. The process followed was Vision Screening followed by Eye Examination, Medical Consultation and Cataract Screening. Post the Cataract Screening those requiring surgical intervention were referred to The Eye Foundation for a free cataract surgery.

Independence day

 

The Independence Day celebrations at XIME, Kochi, on August 15th, 2024, was a vibrant display of patriotism and unity. The event, organized by the MadX club, began at 9 AM with a speech by emcees Shruti Shatabdi and Anurag, followed by the flag hoisting and the National Anthem . The formal segment of the event, held at Maria Philip Hall started with  Professor C.P. Ravindranathan, the Chairman, addressing the crowd. His insightful words inspired young minds to run towards their dreams with everything they have. Now is truly the best time for young hearts to ignite the fire in them. Our director, Dr.Francy T V reminded students to be grateful to those who sacrificed their lives so we could be a free nation today. He also emphasized on making India a better place for the next generation. The cultural performances were a highlight, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students. A classical dance by Batch 12 girls, a poetry recital by Krishnendu Pillai, a mime act, and a band performance with patriotic songs all contributed to the emotional and patriotic atmosphere. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Krishnendu, expressing gratitude to all contributors, and the distribution of sweets, a tradition symbolizing the joy and unity of Independence Day.
