The Independence Day celebrations at XIME, Kochi, on August 15th, 2024, was a vibrant display of patriotism and unity.
The event, organized by the MadX club, began at 9 AM with a speech by emcees Shruti Shatabdi and Anurag, followed by the flag hoisting and the National Anthem . The formal segment of the event, held at Maria Philip Hall started with Professor C.P. Ravindranathan, the Chairman, addressing the crowd. His insightful words inspired young minds to run towards their dreams with everything they have. Now is truly the best time for young hearts to ignite the fire in them. Our director, Dr.Francy T V reminded students to be grateful to those who sacrificed their lives so we could be a free nation today. He also emphasized on making India a better place for the next generation. The cultural performances were a highlight, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students. A classical dance by Batch 12 girls, a poetry recital by Krishnendu Pillai, a mime act, and a band performance with patriotic songs all contributed to the emotional and patriotic atmosphere. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Krishnendu, expressing gratitude to all contributors, and the distribution of sweets, a tradition symbolizing the joy and unity of Independence Day.
