Dr. Gopikumar joined XIME in July 2024. He has eleven years of experience as an academician and has taught at institutions such as Amrita School of Business and Rajagiri Business School. His teaching interests include Financial Derivatives, Investment Analysis, Financial Modelling, and Corporate Finance. As part of an international teaching assignment, he taught a Big Data analytics course at Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia. Before joining academics, he worked with firms such as Tata Capital Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd, and Crompton Greaves Ltd for twelve years.
His research interests align with his teaching interests in Asset Pricing, Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Governance. He has refereed publications in IIMB Management Review, Applied Economics Letters, Cogent Economics and Finance, and Benchmarking: An International Journal. In addition to his academic experience, he has consulted with the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India), Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, and a few MSME firms.
