The faculty members pre-plan and design their lectures incorporating the most relevant content. They adopt a learner-centric approach by including presentations, quizzes and gamifications in their teaching. The lectures are drafted keeping in mind the competence of the students, to assure maximum learning outcome.
‘Deep actionable knowledge and decision-making skills develop when people have the chance to apply classroom theory in the real world, with its messy complexity, time pressures, and irreversible consequences’ as expressed by Prof, John Sterman from MIT. At XIME Kochi, Learning is reinforced through various simulation platforms, games and techniques.
At XIME, we follow a case based curriculum. This enable the students to have simulative experience by handling real life cases, giving them a chance to put to test their knowledge and analytical skills. These case studies help them to groom their problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
The college provides its students an opportunity to work on Live Projects at reputed industries. It provides them a platform to develop their employability skills and to gain first-hand industrial experience and insights. It is a remarkable learning experience for the students as they work with professionals in the industry. These live projects give the students a chance to assess their knowledge and improve themselves.
Our students are provided regular opportunities for direct industry interactions. The internship programmes, Industrial visits and study tours help the students to understand the nuances of the workings of various industries.
Eminent personalities from various fields are invited to the college to chair the Speaker Series programme conducted by the college. The students get a chance to interact with them, listen to them and to get inspired by these visionaries.
The college conducts academic seminars and workshops during which eminent academicians, researchers and industry experts share their experiences. The students are also encouraged to attend seminars and academic events outside the college. This provides them a platform to meet new people, discuss new trends and boost their knowledge.
